Rapid X train fare will be like Metro
[ad_1]
IIM team gave this advice
The IIM team has advised that the initial fare should be kept high, but the fare should be reduced as the distance increases. In such a situation, if someone travels for a short distance, then he will have to pay the fare at a higher rate than for a long distance journey. Sources said that the fare for Rapid Act could be between Rs 2 per km to Rs 5 per km. This is the reason that the minimum fare can be 15 to 20 rupees, while traveling up to 82 km will have to pay around 160 rupees. This model of fare is very similar to Metro. However, there will be a difference of distance between the fare slabs of Metro and the fare slabs of Rapid X. The smallest slab in the metro is between 2 to 5 km, while the maximum slab is 32 km. Rapid X will have a small slab like the Metro, but the maximum slab will be 60 km plus. The maximum distance between Anand Vihar to Meerut in a high speed train is 82 kms. This is the reason why the maximum slab has been kept at 60 km plus.
It will cost around 160 rupees to go to Meerut
Sources said that the maximum distance will be covered by Rapid X till Meerut. The fare for this distance of about 82 km can be around Rs 160. According to this rate, passengers will have to pay less than Rs 2 per km. But, for the initial distance of 5 km, the fare can reach around Rs.5. Rapid X will be operated under Urban Transport. In such a situation, the facility of monthly pass will not be available here. The commuters from Meerut to Anand Vihar do not have to pay extra fare, so the NCRTC team is currently brainstorming on this issue.
Maths of rent slab will be something like this
Sources said that the distance between 2 to 5 km in Rapid X will be kept in one slab. Next to this there will be a slab of distance of 5 to 12 km. Slabs between 12 to 21, 21 to 32, 32 to 45, 45 to 60 can be made. The longest distance slab will be for those traveling more than 60 km. The initial fare rate can start from Rs 5, which can go up to a minimum rate of Rs 2 per km as the distance increases.
Ready made primary section
NCRTC officials say that the priority section is fully ready for the operation of Rapid X. Security checks have been done at all stations. Exit and entry points have also been made. At present, the work of connectivity with Metro is going on at Ghaziabad station. Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai and Duhai Depot stations will come up in this section of 17 km. The command control system of the train will be at Duhai Depot. Officials of NCRTC told that the formal inauguration can be done this month itself.
