New Delhi: Tata Capital, the financial services company of Tata Group, is preparing to launch an IPO in 2025. Before that, the company is engaged in consolidating its associate companies. It is the holding company of three companies of Tata Capital Group. These include Tata Capital Financail Services, Tata Capital Housing Finance and Tata Cleantech Capital. RBI had included Tata Capital Financial Services in the list of non-banking lenders in September last year. The company will now have to implement board approved policies and get listed within three years to meet the RBI norms.
Experts say that the board will decide whether to list it separately or merge it with the holding company. Tata Capital did not comment on this. Officials say that there may be a change in the role of some people after consolidation. As per RBI guidelines, NBFCs are required to meet certain conditions related to capital requirement, governance standards and regulation. Tata Capital has a consolidated book size of Rs 94,349 crore as on March 31, 2022.
