Reliance AGM: Mukesh Ambani entrusts big responsibility to Isha, Akash and Anant, joins the board

In this meeting, industrialist Mukesh Ambani told that Reliance has cleared the way for its succession plan. Industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha and sons Akash and Anant have been appointed on the board of directors of Reliance Industries Ltd. Neeta Ambani is out of this board of directors.

Reliance Industries said in a notice to the stock market that the meeting of the company’s board of directors took place before the annual general meeting (AGM). It approved the appointment of Isha, Akash and Anant as non-executive directors. Last year, veteran industrialist Mukesh Ambani, 66, cleared the way for his elder son Akash Ambani to become the chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, the country’s largest mobile company. However, Ambani continued to be the chairman of Jio Platforms. Reliance Jio Infocomm comes under this. Akash’s twin sister Isha, 31, was selected for Reliance’s retail unit and younger son Anant for the new energy business. Anub Ambani holds directorships on the boards of Reliance New Energy, Reliance New Solar Energy, Reliance Retail Ventures and Jio Platforms. At the same time, Nita Ambani has been retained as the chairperson of Reliance Foundation.
