Torrent Power has posted a profit of Rs 483.93 crore for the quarter ended March 2023 as against a loss of Rs 487.37 crore in the same quarter last year. South India’s real estate company Shobha’s net profit increased by 242 percent to Rs 48.6 crore in the March quarter. State-owned NBCC’s profit rose 206 percent to Rs 108.4 crore in the March quarter. ISGEC Heavy Engineering’s March quarter profit increased by 129 percent to Rs 86.13 crore.

Amidst the positive trend of the US markets and continuous inflow of foreign funds, the local stock markets continued to rise for the third consecutive trading session on Monday. The BSE Sensex gained 344.69 points to reach 62,846.38. The National Stock Exchange’s Nifty also gained 99.30 points to reach 18,598.65 points. Mahindra & Mahindra, Titan, Tata Steel, HDFC, UltraTech Cement, State Bank of India, ITC, IndusInd Bank, NTPC, HDFC Bank and Bajaj Finserv were also among the gainers in Sensex companies. On the other hand, shares of HCL Tech, PowerGrid, Maruti, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Tech Mahindra and Hindustan Unilever fell.
