Reliance ties up with Brookfield for renewable energy venture in Australia

Reliance Industries Ltd said on Tuesday it has signed an agreement with Brookfield Asset Management to explore opportunities to set up factories in Australia to make renewable energy and zero-carbonisation equipment. According to a statement issued by the company, Brookfield will help Reliance find avenues for direct capital investment and evaluate setting up a unit in Australia to manufacture renewable energy equipment. The MoU between Reliance and Brookfield “is aimed at local production of clean energy equipment such as PV modules, long-lasting battery storage and wind power components,” the statement said.
