In the next five years, Reliance will open 100 Pret-a-Manager outlets.
Direct competition to Starbucks
With this move of Reliance, Tata’s coffee business will get a direct competition. Tata Starbucks is the largest player in the coffee segment. Starbucks has outlets in more than 30 cities in the country. Let us tell you that there is a partnership between Tata and American coffee chain Starbucks. Now Reliance has entered this business, that means price war will start here too. High pricing of Starbucks can become a big challenge for them now.
