KYC will be mandatory for mutual funds from May 1. Market regulator SEBI has said that mutual fund companies have been instructed to take care that investors invest in mutual funds only through e-wallets with KYC.

Wood and gas money will not have to be paid for funerals from May 1: To prevent pollution on the Rapti river at Gorakhpur Rajghat in Uttar Pradesh, cremation arrangements will be made free of cost. The Municipal Corporation will make arrangements for wood and gas free of cost. Here people will be able to perform the last rites of their relatives in wood, gasifier and gas based plants. Here people will only have to register the dead body, for which a fee of Rs 200 will have to be paid.

Tomorrow i.e. on Monday we will enter the month of May. This month, many such festivals will come in the country which will also be place specific. In such a situation, there will be a holiday for different banks in different parts of the country. According to the holiday list of Reserve Bank of India in May 2023, banks will remain closed for 12 days including Sunday, second and fourth Saturday. There will be total 5 holidays in the month of May on account of State Day and Jubilee.

There will be a change in the price of gas: At the beginning of the month, the petroleum company also fixes the prices of the gases. In the beginning of April, the prices of LPG commercial gas cylinders were reduced. The government had reduced the prices of 19 kg commercial cylinder by about Rs 92. However, no change was seen in the prices of domestic cylinders. It is expected that tomorrow also the price of gas will be changed.
