Rupee Vs USD: Rupee gains 24 paise at 81.78 per dollar in early trade

Domestic markets opened with gains on positive cues from global markets. Riding on a strong opening, positive trend in local equity markets and foreign fund inflows, the rupee opened higher in early trade on Monday. At the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee was trading at 81.78 per dollar after opening at 81.90 per dollar. This is an increase of 24 paise over its previous closing level. On Thursday, the rupee had closed at 82.02 per dollar. The forex market was closed on April 7 on account of ‘Good Friday’. Meanwhile, the dollar index, which measures the strength of the dollar against a basket of six currencies, gained 0.11 per cent to 102.20. Brent crude oil futures were trading 0.22 per cent lower at $84.93 per barrel. For today i.e. 10th April, 1 US Dollar is equal to 81.845 Indian Rupee. Rupee is expected to range in the range of 82.3342 – 81.9 against USD today. There is a change of -0.07% in the USD to INR rate since the previous day.
