New Delhi. Japan’s Toyota Tsusho and Secom Medical Systems on Saturday said they will invest Rs 1,000 crore to set up a second state-of-the-art health care unit under their Sakra World Hospital in India. Both partners already operate a unit under Sakra World Hospital in Bengaluru. The second unit will be set up at Banaswadi in Bengaluru North and is expected to be ready by the end of 2026.

The second unit, to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 1,000 crore, will have the capacity to admit about 500 patients, Sakra World Hospital said in a statement. Lavkesh Fasu, chief operating officer, Sakra World Hospital Group, said the company is also in talks to set up a third unit, for which an investment of up to Rs 800 crore will be made.
