Satyapal Malik, who failed as governor, has now become a pawn of the Congress.

When Satyapal Malik was made the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, it happened for the first time that a politician was made the Governor of a border and sensitive state like Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, only people who had served in the fields related to defense and security were made the governor of Jammu and Kashmir. Therefore, when a politician in the form of Satyapal Malik was sent to Jammu and Kashmir, the country hoped that he would take forward the democratic processes there and strictly implement the measures to deal with terrorism. But Satyapal Malik did not live up to the expectations of the country, due to which he was transferred to other states.

Satya Pal Malik’s name is one of those leaders who are known to go back on their word and who have a history of switching sides. That’s why questions are being raised on the timing of the questions he is raising, along with Satyapal Malik himself is also coming under the scanner. Satyapal Malik, while pointing fingers at the Modi government regarding the Pulwama attack case of 2019, is forgetting that while doing so, four fingers of his hand are pointing towards him. Because when Satyapal Malik was the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, he also had intelligence and other information, in such a situation, the question arises that why did he not make more concrete arrangements for security during the departure of the convoy of security forces? The question also arises that if Satyapal Malik had come to know about the government’s lapses immediately after the incident, then why didn’t he immediately put it in front of the country? Why was he clinging to the post of governor? Is the position bigger than the nation? Satyapal Malik is saying that he was asked to keep quiet? If this is true, then why did he compromise with the national interest to retain his post?

Those who are calling the CBI calling Satyapal Malik for questioning as an attack on democracy, they should get an Oscar for their drama. This is because if Satyapal Malik has made allegations of corruption against any party leader during his tenure in Jammu and Kashmir, then those allegations must be investigated. Naturally, if Satyapal Malik has leveled the allegations, then the investigating agency will ask him only who was doing corruption or who offered the bribe. The investigation into Satyapal Malik’s allegations should be welcomed. Had the investigating agency not taken any action on the allegations of Satya Pal Malik, then it could have been criticized. But now when action is being taken, it is wrong to publicize it as harassment.

However, calling oneself honest does not make one honest; one is judged by history. By making Satyapal Malik a pawn, the Congress is using him in the same way as it has been using other people during other elections. Satyapal Malik has to understand that the Congress’s love for him will last only till the Karnataka elections or at the most the next Lok Sabha elections.
