The first deadline of the scheme was 23 June 2023. Then it was extended to 15 August 2023. After this it was again extended to 31 December 2023. Then considering its popularity and demand, it was decided to extend the scheme till the end of the financial year.
How much interest will you get?
Under the Amrit Kalash FD scheme of State Bank, tremendous interest is offered to the investors. The bank gives 7.1 percent interest to general customers on FD scheme. Whereas, 7.6 percent interest is offered by the bank to senior citizens. In this scheme, a maximum amount of up to Rs 2 crore can be fixed in the name of one person. On maturity, the entire amount is deposited in the investment bank account after deducting TDS. However, if it is absolutely necessary, you can withdraw your money ahead of time. But, due to this you will have to suffer loss of interest.

What to do to open an account?
You can get your interest credited on investment in State Bank’s Amrit Kalash FD Scheme on monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly basis. In this scheme, any Indian person above 18 years of age can open his account. For this you only have to contact the bank branch. You are required to provide Aadhaar Card, Identity Proof, Age Identity Proof, Income Proof, Mobile Number, Photograph and E-mail ID in the form. Apart from this you can also apply online.
