On an application by the Election Commission, the bench said that the details of the electoral bonds submitted by the Election Commission before the apex court should be scanned and returned for the purpose of uploading it on the website. The Election Commission filed a petition in the apex court through advocate Amit Sharma seeking direction to release the data on electoral bonds submitted to the apex court in terms of its previous orders dated April 12, 2019 and November 2, 2023. As per the apex court’s order dated March 11, 2024, the Election Commission had on Thursday uploaded the data on the electoral bonds given to it by SBI.
