SEBI’s SCORES platform settles 2,838 complaints in March

Releasing the scores data on Monday, SEBI said that there were 2,241 complaints pending at the beginning of March and it also received 2,643 new complaints during the month. At the end of March, only 13 complaints were pending for more than three months.
New Delhi. Markets regulator Sebi’s complaint redressal platform ‘Scores’ saw 2,838 complaints being resolved in March. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Monday released the SCORES data, saying that there were 2,241 complaints pending at the beginning of March and it also received 2,643 new complaints this month. At the end of March, only 13 complaints were pending for more than three months.
The complaints pertained to investment advisors, research analysts and acquisitions and restructuring. SEBI said that a complaint was disposed of in an average of 29 days. Complaints were made against listed companies and market intermediaries in the stock exchange. SCORES is SEBI’s online complaint redressal system which was launched in June, 2011.
