Interest is given every month at the rate of 7.4 percent on the amount invested in this scheme. Under Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana, a minimum monthly pension of one thousand and a maximum of Rs 9250 can be taken. The duration of the scheme is 10 years. Anyone 60 or above can invest in it. If you invest a maximum of Rs 15 lakh in the scheme, then you get Rs 9,250 as pension every month.

Two special FD schemes are also being closed
If you are thinking of getting FD then now is a good opportunity. Special FD schemes are being run by SBI and HDFC Bank. There is only till March 31, 2023 to invest in it. SBI had launched the Amrit Kalash FD scheme some time back. In this, 7.1 percent interest is being offered to the common people and 7.60 percent to the senior citizens. The tenure of the scheme is 400 days. This scheme is going to close on 31st March. Only two days are left to invest in HDFC’s Senior Citizen Care FD scheme. This scheme has been extended several times. In this scheme, senior citizens are given an additional return of 0.25 per cent (over and above the existing premium of 0.50 per cent).
