Share Market: Sensex fell 179 points in early trade, Nifty also in loss.

Mumbai Local stock markets opened with a decline in early trading on Monday amid weak trend of global markets and continuous withdrawal of foreign funds. BSE’s 30-share Sensex fell 179.06 points to 63,603.74 points in early trade. National Stock Exchange’s Nifty was trading at 18,998 points with a loss of 49.26 points.
Among Sensex companies, shares of Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Power Grid, Bajaj Finance, Larsen & Toubro, Titan and Axis Bank were in loss. Whereas shares of Reliance Industries Tech Mahindra, UltraTech Cement and Tata Consultancy Services were in profit. In other Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng were trading in loss while South Korea’s Kospi and China’s Shanghai Composite were trading in profit.
US markets closed with a negative trend on Friday. Global oil benchmark Brent crude was trading 1.23 per cent lower at $89.37 per barrel. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) had sold shares worth Rs 1,500.13 crore on Friday.
