Stocks to Watch: Amidst the sluggish signals from the global market, the Indian stock market may start with a decline today. At 7.50 am, Gift Nifty was at 21611 with a slight decline of 0.02 i.e. 3.05 points. Global markets remained firm despite crude rising above $80 as oil majors diverted their attention from the Red Sea, where Yemen’s Houthis are targeting commercial vessels. There were extended gains in Asia this morning due to the Bank of Japan’s policy stance. Nikkei jumped 1.6 percent. Hang Seng and Kospi also rose 1 percent. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 was up 0.5 percent. In America, Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite rose by 0.59-0.68 percent overnight.
spicejet: Following last week’s fundraising approval, Mumbai-based businessman Harihar Mahapatra and his wife Preeti are likely to invest Rs 1,100 crore in SpiceJet for a 19 per cent stake. According to The Economic Times report, after the conversion of warrants, Aries Opportunities Fund will hold 3 per cent stake while Elara Capital will hold 8 per cent stake.
Varun Beverages: The company said it will acquire South Africa’s The Beverage Company Limited (Bevco) for Rs 1,320 crore as it plans to expand its geographical footprint in Africa. It has also signed an MoU with the Government of Jharkhand to set up a manufacturing plant in Patratu with an outlay of Rs 450 crore.
BPCL: Its board approved setting up of polypropylene (PP) unit at Kochi refinery at a cost of Rs 5,044 crore.
HCL Tech: A ransomware incident has occurred in an isolated cloud environment for one of its projects. No impact has been observed due to this incident on the overall HCLTech network. Detailed investigation is underway.
BSE: BSE will impose an additional 15 per cent exposure margin in the equity derivatives segment on securities in which the top 10 clients have more than 20 per cent of the market wide position limit (MWPL).
Nippon AMC: According to CNBC-TV18 report, IndusInd Bank is likely to sell 1.79 crore shares or 2.86 percent stake in Nippon AMC through a block deal. The total offer size for the stake is Rs 762 crore. The minimum price for block deal has been fixed at Rs 426.60.
astralAccording to CNBC-TV18, its promoters are looking to sell 2-3 percent stake through block deal. The promoter holds 55.85 percent stake in Astral.
it stock:Accenture has estimated lower-than-expected revenue in the second quarter. It expects second-quarter revenue to be between $15.40-16 billion versus $16.20 billion, according to estimates from analysts surveyed by LSEG.
RVNL: RVNL has won the Rs 124 crore project for Varkala Sivagiri railway station in Kerala in a joint venture. RVNL’s stake in the joint venture is 49 percent.
Deepak Nitrite, Petronet LNG: Deepak Nitrite’s wholly owned subsidiary said it will supply 250 kilotonnes (ktpa) of propylene per annum and 11 ktpa of hydrogen to Petronet LNG. This arrangement extends for 15 years from initial delivery.
Glenmark Life, Glenmark Pharma: CCI has approved the proposed acquisition of Glenmark Life Sciences by Nirma Limited.
