Share market’s slow start, Sensex falls 142 points

Share Market Opening: Amidst the sluggish signals from the global market, the pre-opening of the Indian stock market was slow. At 9.20 am, Sensex was trading at 73,872.21, down 0.19 percent or 142.34 points. Whereas, Nifty is seen falling by 0.15 percent i.e. 33.05 points at 22,428.95. On the other hand, the American market closed sluggishly on Monday amid mixed action. The impact of rising bond yields on the market mood was seen. On the other hand, Gifty Nifty was also showing signs of sluggishness since morning. Today shares of 2740 companies are trading in the market. Out of these, stocks of 1745 companies are seen trading in profit. Whereas, weakness is being seen in the stocks of 884 companies. At the same time, no change is seen in the stocks of 111 companies.
What is the condition of companies on Sensex-Nifty?
Only ten companies on the BSE Sensex comprising thirty shares are showing profits. Whereas, losses are being seen in the stocks of 20 companies. At the same time, mixed trading is visible on Nifty. Except consumer durables, there is no significant growth in any sector. On the other hand, a big decline is again being seen in the IT sector. On Nifty, stocks of Adani Ports, Bajaj Auto, BPCL, Coal India, ONGC and Tata Steel joined the category of top gainers. Whereas, stocks of ICICI, Cipla, TCS, Bajaj Finance, Sun Pharma and Eicher Motors were included in the category of top losers.

how was the market yesterday
On Monday, the first day of the new financial year had a strong start and BSE Sensex gained 363 points. At one time during trading, both the benchmark indices Sensex and NSE Nifty had reached their highest ever level. With the strong trend in other markets of Asia and foreign capital inflow, the domestic market witnessed a rise for the third consecutive trading session. The Sensex based on 30 shares closed at 74,014.55 points with a gain of 363.20 points or 0.49 percent. During trading, at one time it had risen by 603.27 points to reach its all-time high of 74,254.62 points. National Stock Exchange’s Nifty also closed at 22,462 points with a gain of 135.10 points or 0.61 percent. At one time during trading, it had climbed 203.05 points to a record level of 22,529.95. Realty and metal stocks fared better, while fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and auto stocks were light.
