Shiv Thackeray also talked about his phobia. Said, ‘I am scared of everything, be it water, lion or snake, but I am going to do all the stunts and will not give up. I think when you have dreamed of something your whole life and you achieve it, fear takes a backseat. Fear will side when you see your dream becoming a reality.

“I want to do a film with Rohit Shetty”

Shiv Thackeray also spoke his heart out about working with Rohit Shetty. He said, ‘I hope I become Rohit Shetty’s favourite. If I do all the stunts well, I will surely become his favourite. And maybe that could help me do a film with him. Maybe they think let’s take an audition once and see… If it happens then it will be fun. Like many others, I too dream of it.

Shiv Thackeray also gave his opinion on his mother’s reaction. He explains, ‘My mother was very happy because I always wanted to do this and she knew about it. But he is worried about the insects. Even my grandmother was scared. I explained to him that there is a team which takes care of the security of all the contestants. Now he motivates me to do well. She forbids me to be afraid. The best thing would be to watch the show with him once I get back after shooting for the entire show. She gets worried when I am not around her.

Shiv Thackeray left two Marathi films

Shiv Thackeray talks about his upcoming film. He said, ‘Yes, I was offered two Marathi films, which were to be shot in London. But I was already committed to the show and I didn’t want to back down. I wanted to do both but it was not possible as both were to be shot in different countries. I had the lead role in it. The show was also huge so I chose Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 instead of two films. I am in talks for a few other films and hopefully if things work out I can do them after Khatron Ke.

Shiv Thackeray got advice

Shiv Thackeray told that when people used to advise him not to make a career in acting. ‘Like everyone, I too had a dream of appearing on the screen. Someone told me to give me 2 to 3 years to achieve my dreams. I was told don’t waste your future. You have done engineering and so if nothing happens here, go back and look for a job. But I had to fulfill my dream and for this I threw myself. I have no hesitation in giving my whole life to chase my dreams as I was earning money side by side. I was very sure that I would not give up, even though I did not know what my future held. Now, I have realized that dreams can come true if you work sincerely. I just imagine myself standing in queue for Roadies auditions and now sitting here giving interviews for KKK.

Shiva at Papa’s paan shop

Shiv Thackeray also mentioned his father’s paan shop. He explains, ‘I am very stubborn and obstinate. Not once did I feel that I would not be able to achieve my dreams. I really enjoyed working at my father’s paan shop and learned a lot while sitting there. I met different people and I gained confidence as a person. Now when I get calls from people who try to take advantage of me and fool me, I take them. They think, he has come from a small town, he can be fooled, but now I understand him. I have met different people while working at the paan shop and handled them well.

Shiv Thackeray earned 15 rupees

Shiv Thackeray said, ‘I loved to sit at my father’s paan shop. He used to give me 5 rupees to eat dal pakwan during school days but I needed 20 rupees, so I earned the remaining 15 rupees myself. My journey has been very filmy and interesting. I think, if I had got everything easily, I would not have enjoyed it as much as I am having now. Now that I’ve done everything on my own, I enjoy it more. My mother wanted me to become an engineer, I did that. My mother was very emotional about my studies. I have a caller tune from last 10-12 years which is Shahrukh’s – Jo bhi chahoon woh main paaoon hai. I have always believed in it.

Shiv Thackeray said on Akanksha Puri

Shiv Thackeray on being linked with Akanksha Puri said, ‘I don’t want girls with rumours, I don’t want to be Shiv Thackeray with rumours. I want a normal man in my life who doesn’t need social media to prove his love. Relationships or dating don’t happen in a day. When you like someone you spend time with them, you talk to each other and understand each other. I am an old school person when it comes to romance. At the moment I am completely dedicated to KKK. I just got the job and it’s taken me years to get to this place. A time will come when I will find the right person and no publicity will be needed.
