Mumbai Electric vehicle startup company Simple Energy is planning to introduce two new e-scooters in the next quarter. Giving this information, the company’s founder Suhas Rajkumar said that the price of these e-scooters will be ‘attractive’ for the consumers. Rajkumar told PTI that with the low-cost e-scooter, the company will not only be able to retain existing investors but will also be able to rope in institutional investors as part of its proposed $100 million fund raising plan. The company last month introduced its first premium e-scooter Simple One, priced at Rs 1.45 lakh.
From June 7, the company has started supplying this scooter in a phased manner in Bengaluru. Simple One founder and CEO Rajkumar said the launch of the low-cost e-scooter is part of the company’s plan to have a portfolio of three scooters in the next three years. Apart from this, in the next three years, the company wants to bring a performance bike and possibly a four-wheeler as well.
