TRAI asked telecom operators to ask banks and financial institutions to clear unused templates.
During the meeting, Vodafone Idea made a presentation on Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning. The system can analyze and trace fraudulent messages sent from mobile numbers. The regulator said that Vodafone Idea will be given permission for its pilot. Based on its success, TRAI will bring in principles/regulations in the industry. The deadline for review of the implementation of the UCC detection system using AI/ML is May 1.
