Airline chief Ajay Singh said that after Ayodhya, SpiceJet plans to expand its business in the next two years and increase connectivity between various tourist and religious places including Lakshadweep. He said that after development of necessary infrastructure, the airline is also planning to operate seaplanes at some places. Ajay Singh said that I think it is time to expand. SpiceJet will try its best to expand its business in the next two years. We want to add many tourist destinations, religious tourism, medical tourism, places like Lakshadweep. The airline already has a license to operate seaplanes and it will be easy to connect multiple locations through seaplane services.
‘Every city wants connectivity with Ayodhya’
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Minister of State VK Singh had jointly inaugurated SpiceJet’s direct flight service connecting Ayodhya with eight cities on February 1. When asked about the company’s plan to connect Ayodhya to more places through its network, Singh said that today every big and small city wants ‘connectivity’ with Ayodhya. Therefore work is going on on these. He said that I think today every airline wants to connect to Ayodhya with more and more flights. I think that soon the government will have to expand the airport in Ayodhya.
Increase in transportation by air
SpiceJet chief Ajay Singh said that there is no doubt that Ayodhya will be one of the major tourist destinations in the world. Like you hear about Vatican or Mecca. I have no doubt that Ayodhya will become the biggest tourist destination in the world. He further said that air freight is witnessing massive growth and SpiceJet wants to launch freight services not only within the country but also abroad including major commercial hubs across the world using large size aircraft. He said that the company also intends to complete the listing process on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) soon.
