New Delhi, March 11 (Hindustan Reporter) There was pressure for profit booking in the domestic stock market on Monday, the first day of the trading week. Due to this, investors lost more than Rs 3 lakh crore today. Today’s trading started with a slight gain, but after the first few minutes of trading, bears created selling pressure in the market, due to which both the Sensex and Nifty indices continued to fall. After the entire day’s trading, Sensex closed with a fall of 0.83 percent and Nifty closed with a fall of 0.72 percent.

During the entire day’s trading, there was maximum selling in shares of banking, metal and energy sectors. Similarly, Public Sector Enterprise, Realty, Telecommunications, Commodity and FMCG indices also closed with a decline. The pharmaceutical index managed to close with gains. There was continuous pressure in the broader market today, due to which the BSE midcap index closed with a decline of 0.24 percent. Similarly, the Smallcap index ended today’s trading with a weakness of 2.01 percent.

Today, due to the weakness of the market, the wealth of stock market investors decreased by about Rs 3.25 lakh crore. The market capitalization of BSE listed companies declined to Rs 389.60 lakh crore (provisional) after today’s trading. Their market capitalization on the last trading day of last week i.e. Thursday was Rs 392.81 lakh crore. In this way, investors suffered a loss of about Rs 3.21 lakh crore from today’s trading.

Today, there was active trading in 4,081 shares in BSE in the day’s trading. Of these, 923 shares closed with gains, while 3,036 shares were in decline, while 122 shares closed without any movement. There was active trading in 2,266 shares in NSE today. Of these, 411 shares closed in the green after earning profit and 1,855 shares closed in the red after incurring a loss. Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, 9 shares closed with gains and 21 shares closed with decline. Out of the stocks included in Nifty, 19 stocks closed in the green mark and 31 stocks closed in the red mark.

BSE Sensex opened today at 74,175.93 points with a slight gain of 56.54 points. After the start of trading, buyers tried to create buying pressure, due to which the index gained 67.96 points to reach 74,187.35 points. After this, all-round selling started in the market, due to which this index kept falling continuously. Due to bearish pressure, the Sensex fell by 685.48 points to 73,433.91 points. However, due to minor buying at the last moment, this index recovered about 70 points from the lower level and ended today’s trading at the level of 73,502.64 points with a weakness of 616.75 points.

Like the Sensex, NSE’s Nifty started trading today with a gain of 23.95 points at the level of 22,517.50 points. After the market opened, buyers kept trying to make their presence felt for a few minutes, due to which the index rose by 33.05 points to reach 22,526.60 points. After this, there was selling pressure in the market, due to which the index started falling. Due to continuous selling, this index dropped by 219.35 points from the upper level and reached 22,307.25 points with a weakness of 186.30 points. After buying and selling throughout the day, Nifty recovered about 25 points from the lower level and closed at 22,332.65 points with a fall of 160.90 points.

After the entire day’s trading, among the big stocks of the stock market, Apollo Hospitals with a gain of 2.58 percent, Nestle by 1.97 percent, SBI Life Insurance by 1.44 percent, Cipla by 1.27 percent and Bajaj Finserv by 1.01 percent joined the list of today’s top 5 gainers. . On the other hand, Tata Consumer Products joined the list of today’s top 5 losers with a weakness of 3.24 per cent, Bajaj Auto 2.47 per cent, Power Grid Corporation 2.43 per cent, Tata Steel 2.42 per cent and State Bank of India 1.82 per cent.
