Stock market turns red before Holi

Share Market Opening Bell: Amidst the weak signals being received in the global market before Holi, the domestic market is looking in red. The market had broken in the pre-opening itself. At 9.20 am, Sensex was trading at 72,429.75, down 0.29 percent or 211.44 points. Whereas, Nifty fell by 0.24 percent or 52.15 points at 21,959.80. Today a big decline is being seen in IT shares. ID index has fallen by about 1180 points. Today shares of 2815 companies are trading in the market. In this, there is a loss in the stock of 1026 companies and an increase in the stock of 1684 companies. However, no change is seen in the stocks of 105 companies.
What is the condition of Sensex-Nifty?
Shares of 15 companies on the 30-share Sensex of BSE are trading in profit. Whereas, losses are being seen in the stocks of 15 companies. At the same time, except Auto, IT and Metal, all the sectors on Nifty are trading in profit. There is a rise of about 133 points in Bank Nifty. A slight rise is also being seen in FMCG, Financial Services, Pharma, Reality and Health Care indices etc. Shares of BPCL, Apollo Hospital, Cipla, Bajaj Auto, Sun Pharma and IT have joined the category of top gainers today. Whereas, shares of HCL Tech, Wipro, Ifsys, Tech Mahindra and TCS have fallen by more than two percent today and have joined the category of top losers.

Amid the rise in global markets, the standard indices of domestic stock markets registered an increase of about one percent on Thursday. The US central bank Federal Reserve has estimated that interest rates will be cut three times this year. After this, there was a rise in the global markets. BSE’s 30-share index Sensex jumped 539.50 points or 0.75 percent to close at 72,641.19 points. At one time during trading, it jumped by 780.77 points to reach 72,882.46 points. This is the second consecutive trading session when the Sensex has been in profit. National Stock Exchange (NSE) index Nifty also rose by 172.85 points or 0.79 percent to reach 22,011.95 points.
