Stock Market Update: Fluctuating day, Sensex, Nifty closed at flat level

In today’s trade, both the Sensex and Nifty indices started with a rise and closed flat. Sensex closed at 66,459.31 points, down 367.47 points, or 0.56 percent, Nifty slipped 17.60 points, or 0.09 percent, to close at 19,736.20 points.
Amid positive signals from the global market, the domestic stock market witnessed ups and downs. In today’s trade, both the Sensex and Nifty indices started with a rise and closed flat. Sensex closed at 66,459.31 points, down 367.47 points, or 0.56 percent, Nifty slipped 17.60 points, or 0.09 percent, to close at 19,736.20 points. Buying has been seen in IT, metal stocks in today’s business. While Realty, Infra stocks remained under pressure and FMCG, Energy stocks saw selling.

COALINDIA shares on NSE Nifty are up by 5.23 per cent, NTPC by 3.05 per cent, TECHM by 2.45 per cent, HCLTECH by 1.91 per cent, LTIM by 1.70.
There was a break in these stocks on NIFTY
On the NSE Nifty, POWERGRID declined by 3.03 per cent, HEROMOTOCO by 3.22 per cent, APOLLOHOSP by 2.64 per cent, ADANIPORTS by 1.65 per cent and BAJAJFINSV by 1.62 per cent.

The Indian rupee declined marginally by 0.01 paise to close at 82.25 against the US dollar at the interbank forex market.
