Stock Market Update: Market closed sharply, Sensex, Nifty both index red

Sensex broke more than 200 points. Sensex rose 208.01 points, or 0.34 percent, to close at 61,773.78 points, Nifty closed at 18,285.40 points with a strength of 62.60 points, or 0.34 percent.
Due to weak global signals, selling has been seen in the domestic stock market. In today’s business, both the Sensex and Nifty indices have closed weak. Sensex broke more than 200 points. Sensex rose 208.01 points, or 0.34 percent, to close at 61,773.78 points, Nifty closed at 18,285.40 points with a strength of 62.60 points, or 0.34 percent. In today’s trade, Pharma, IT, FMCG and Auto indices closed in the green on Nifty. While the Bank, Financial, Metal and Realty indices closed in the red.
Top gainers of NIFTY
ADANIENT shares on NSE Nifty are up by 1.98 per cent, DRREDDY by 1.31 per cent, ITC by 1.13 per cent, INDUSINDBK by 1.06 per cent, TITAN by 0.99.
These stocks showed a break on NIFTY
ADANIENT declined by 6.03 per cent, ADANIPORTS by 2.21 per cent, TATA MOTORS by 1.49 per cent, HDFCBANK by 1.36 per cent and ICICIBANK by 1.29 per cent on the NSE Nifty.
indian rupee fell
At the interbank forex market, the Indian rupee declined marginally by 0.14 paise to close at 82.67 per dollar at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market.
