Stock Market Update: Sensex breaks 366 points, Nifty closes below 19,450, selling in the market

The Sensex closed at 65,322.65, down 365.53 points, or 0.56 percent, while the Nifty closed at 19,428.30, down 114.80 points, or 0.59 percent.
Selling is being seen in the domestic stock market amid mixed global cues. The market has been disappointed with the RBI policy in today’s business. In today’s business, both Sensex and Nifty closed with a big fall. The Sensex closed at 65,322.65, down 365.53 points, or 0.56 percent, while the Nifty closed at 19,428.30, down 114.80 points, or 0.59 percent. In today’s trade, the PSU Bank index closed in the green on the Nifty. While Bank, IT, Financial, Auto, Metal, Pharma, and FMCG indices closed in the red mark.
Top gainers of NIFTY
On the NSE Nifty, HCLTECH shares gained 2.93 per cent, POWERGRID gained 1.01 per cent, TITAN 0.96 per cent, TATASTEEL gained 0.46 per cent, ULTRACEMCO gained 0.32 per cent.
There was a break in these stocks on NIFTY
On the NSE Nifty, INDUSINBK declined by 3.00 per cent, SBILIFE by 1.95 per cent, UPL by 1.80 per cent, TATACONSUM by 1.73 per cent and Asianpaint by 1.64 per cent.
Indian rupee gains
The Indian rupee settled marginally at 82.84 per dollar, up marginally by 0.14 paise over its previous close at the interbank foreign exchange market.
