Stock Market Update: Sensex, Nifty closed with gains in the last hour

Sensex climbed close to 100 points. Sensex rose 98.84 points or 0.16 percent to close at 61,872.62 points, Nifty closed at 18,321.15 points with a strength of 35.75 points or 0.2 percent.
Investors turned buyers in the last hour of trade but turned cautious amid negative global cues. Indian shares remained under pressure for most of the session but recovered in the last hour to close in the green. Sensex climbed close to 100 points. Sensex rose 98.84 points or 0.16 percent to close at 61,872.62 points, Nifty closed at 18,321.15 points with a strength of 35.75 points or 0.2 percent. Pharma, IT, and Auto indices closed in the green on Nifty in today’s trade. While the Bank, Metal and Realty indices closed in the red.
Top gainers of NIFTY
On the NSE Nifty, BAJAJ-AUTO is up by 2.95 per cent, ADANIENT by 2.92 per cent, BHARTIARTL by 2.82 per cent, ITC by 1.90 per cent, DIVISLAB by 1.68 per cent.
There was a break in these stocks on NIFTY
On the NSE Nifty, WIPRO declined by 1.18 per cent, TATA MOTORS by 0.94 per cent, INDUSINDBK by 0.92 per cent, UPL by 0.85 per cent and HINDALCO by 0.76 per cent.

At the interbank forex market, the Indian rupee declined marginally by 0.06 paise to close at 82.74 per dollar at the interbank foreign exchange market.
