Mahindra & Mahindra
The company has entered into an agreement with Mahindra Electric Automobile (MEAL) for transfer of assets related to four-wheeler passenger electric vehicles. Following which MEAL will be incorporated as a subsidiary company. Both M&M and British International Investment Plc will invest up to Rs 1,925 crore in MEAL in two tranches.

Information Technology (IT) company Wipro has cut the salary of new employees awaiting appointment by almost 50 per cent. Industry watchers say Wipro’s decision reflects the macroeconomic uncertainties and challenges facing technology companies globally. Wipro has now asked candidates who were recently offered Rs 6.5 lakh per annum if they would accept a package of Rs 3.5 lakh instead.

The state-owned defense company has signed an MoU with the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), DRDO for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme. The Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft is a 5th generation, multi-role, all weather fighter aircraft designed with high survivability and stealth capability.
LIC Housing Finance
ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund has bought an additional 2.03 per cent stake in LIC Housing Finance. ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund has acquired additional 2.03 per cent stake in the housing finance company through an open market transaction. With this, the mutual fund house’s stake in the company increased from 5.04 per cent to 7.07 per cent.
Zensar Technologies
Nippon Life India Trustee has bought an additional 1.75 per cent stake in Zensar Technologies. Nippon Life India Trustee has acquired an additional 1.7529 per cent stake in the IT services management company through an open market transaction. With this, his stake in the company increased to 5.2275 per cent from 3.4745 per cent earlier.
