Adani Enterprises
Adani Enterprises, the flagship company of Adani Group, has bought about 30 per cent stake in Start Enterprises Private Limited (SEPL), a company related to railway ticket booking. SEPL is the operator of Trainman, an online railway ticket booking platform. SEPL had done a turnover of Rs 4.51 crore in the financial year 2022-23. Adani Enterprises had last month announced an agreement to buy the entire stake in SEPL.
Titan Company
Tata group company Titan is preparing to open 18 new international stores of its jewelery brand Tanishq during the current financial year. Most of these stores will be opened in the Bay Area. With this, the number of international stores of the company will reach 25. Titan Company Ltd. Tanishq’s annual report states that despite the operational complexities of opening stores in some new territories, the company has “aggressively” expanded its strategy to address consumer demand for Tanishq brand jewelery in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the US market. .
Tata Motors
Retail sales of Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) stood at 1,01,994 units in the first quarter ended June 30, up 29 per cent from the same quarter last year. Tata Motors said in the information given to the stock market that this increase reflects the continuous improvement in chip and other supply related constraints. Excluding the Chery Jaguar Land Rover China joint venture (JV), wholesales stood at 93,253 units in the first quarter.
Maruti Suzuki
The country’s leading car maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) is expected to keep its sales growth higher than that of the domestic passenger vehicle industry. A senior company official said that strong demand for Maruti’s models, especially the SUV range, will keep the sales momentum going. The company estimates that overall the passenger vehicle market will grow by 5 to 7 percent in the current financial year.
SBI
The public sector bank can raise up to Rs 10,000 crore from Tier-1 bonds this week. However, it will take a decision on issuing bonds based on demand in the market, which has tightened in the past two weeks.
