The Sensex is trading at 65584.71 with a gain of 240.54 points or 0.37 percent and the Nifty is trading at 19432.70 with a gain of 76.80 points or 0.40 percent.
Amid better global signals, buying is being seen in the domestic stock market. In today’s trade, both the Sensex and Nifty indices have gained strength. The Sensex is trading at 65584.71 with a gain of 240.54 points or 0.37 percent and the Nifty is trading at 19432.70 with a gain of 76.80 points or 0.40 percent. Buying was seen in most of the sectors in today’s trade. Most of the indices including Bank, Financial, Auto, Metal, Pharma are in green mark on Nifty. There is only slight pressure on the IT index. The shares of APOLLOHOSP, BRITANNIA, HDFCLIFE, BAJAJFINSV, BAJFINANCE are in green color i.e. in growth, while the shares of UPL, WIPRO, TATASTEEL, HINDALCO, HEROMOTCO are seen in red color i.e. weak. ONGC
State-owned ONGC, Anil Agarwal-led Vedanta and a consortium of Reliance Industries and BP have placed 13 bids for 10 fields in the latest round of tenders invited for exploration of crude oil and natural gas. Bids were invited for 10 blocks in the eighth round of the Open Sector Licensing Policy. According to DGH, five companies have made a total of 13 bids for 10 blocks.
Vedanta
Vedanta said it is in touch with potential partners to set up a semiconductor manufacturing facility after partner Foxconn announced exit from the chip manufacturing venture. Vedanta said that India remains critical in restoring the global semiconductor supply chain. The company is fully committed to its semiconductor manufacturing project.
SBI
The country’s largest lender State Bank of India has proposed to participate in the initial public offering (IPO) of National Securities Depositories (NSDL) through an offer for sale of 2 per cent equity stake in NSDL or 40 lakh shares. The bank holds 5 per cent stake in NSDL.
LIC
The total premium collection of the company has increased by 21% to Rs 24,971 crore in June on an annual basis. Whereas, private life insurance collections grew by 13% to Rs 11,991 crore. Individual premium collection in the first quarter increased by 4.4% to Rs 10,439.2 crore.
Cartrade Tech
Online vehicle trading platform ‘CarTrade Tech’ said it has entered into an agreement to acquire Sobek Auto India for Rs 537 crore. Sobek Auto is engaged in the business of an automotive digital platform. CarTrade Tech said that the company has acquired OLX India B.V. has entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire 100 per cent stake in Sobek.
