MR Kumar, chairman of public sector Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), has completed his term. Siddharth Mohanty will be the interim chairman. LIC had last week said that the government has approved the appointment of Siddhartha Mohanty as interim chairman of LIC for three months with effect from March 14. Presently, Mohanty is working as the Managing Director of the company.
M&M’s
Automobile major Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has sold over 6 per cent stake in Mahindra CIE Automotive. M&M said in a notification sent to the stock exchanges on Monday that the company has sold its 2,29,80,000 equity shares. This constitutes 6.05 per cent of the paid up equity share capital of the company’s listed entity Mahindra CIE Automotive Limited. This sale was done in the stock market at a price of Rs 357.39 per share. M&M said post the sale, the company’s stake in Mahindra CIE Automotive has come down to 3.19 per cent from 9.25 per cent now.
GAIL (India)
GAIL (India) Limited has declared an interim dividend of 40 per cent on the paid up equity share capital for the financial year 2023, which is Rs 4 per equity share. With the record date of March 21, the total dividend amount will be Rs 2,630 crore. Based on the current shareholding of the Government of India (51.52%), a dividend of Rs 1,355 crore will be given to the government, while other shareholders will receive Rs 1,275 crore.

Nalco
The company has declared an interim dividend of Rs 2.50. The Board of Directors of the company in its meeting held on March 13 approved payment of second interim dividend of Rs 2.50 per share on paid up equity share capital of Rs 918.32 crore for the financial year 2022-23. The company has set Tuesday, March 21, 2023 as the record date.
