In today’s business, weakness is being seen in FMCG, IT, Metal, Realty index on Nifty. While there is an increase in Bank, Auto, Pharma, Media, Financial Index. Shares of LT, DIVISLAB, ONGC, SBIN, BRITANNIA are in green color i.e. in growth, while shares of INFY, HCLTECH, WIPRO, TCS, HINDUNILVR are seen in red color i.e. weak. ICICI Bank
The quarterly results of ICICI Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank are to come on Saturday, 22 July. Apart from these, the results of RBL Bank, AU Small Finance Bank, Yes Bank, Sportking India, Thirumalai Chemicals and Titagarh Rail Systems will also come on Saturday.
Infosys
IT services company Infosys’ profit rose 11 per cent year-on-year to Rs 5,945 crore in the June quarter from Rs 5,362 crore in the year-ago period. However, the company has reduced its growth forecast for the financial year 2023-24 to 1 to 3.5 per cent amid broad economic uncertainties, which had earlier projected a growth of 4 to 7 per cent. The company’s income rose 10 per cent to Rs 37,933 crore in the June quarter from Rs 34,470 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.
Larsen & Toubro
The company said the board will meet next week on July 25 to consider buyback of equity shares and special dividend for FY24. The board meeting is also going to be held to approve the June quarter financial results.
HUL
The profit of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has increased by 6.9 percent to Rs 2,556 crore in the June quarter. The company had earned a profit of Rs 2,391 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. The company’s total income stood at Rs 15,679 crore, as against Rs 14,757 crore in the year-ago period. The company’s total expenses stood at Rs 12,167 crore in the first quarter, as against Rs 11,531 crore in the same period last fiscal.
IOC
Petroleum company Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has entered into an agreement worth $7-9 billion to import Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from Adnoc Gas Company of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Adnoc Gas said it would export 1.2 million tonnes of LNG annually to IOC under the agreement for a period of 14 years.
