Vedanta

After Taiwanese partner Foxconn pulled out of the Vedanta group’s semiconductor project, the company’s chairman Anil Agarwal said several partners are ready for the venture. According to the previously announced program, $19.5 billion was to be invested for the semiconductor plant. He said that Vedanta will foray into chip manufacturing this year.

TCS

The profit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the country’s largest IT services company, has increased by 16.83 percent year-on-year to Rs 11,074 crore in the June quarter. However, the company is cautious on the growth prospects for the financial year due to market uncertainties. TCS, the flagship company of the Tata Group, reported a year-on-year increase of 12.55 per cent in its April-June quarter of the current financial year to Rs 59,381 crore.

Patanjali Foods

Patanjali Ayurveda will sell 2.53 crore shares or 7 per cent stake in its group company Patanjali Foods in the stock markets. The company is going to take this step to meet the listing requirements. Shares of edible oil and other food products company Patanjali Foods will be sold through the offer for sale (OFS) route. The minimum price for this offer has been fixed at Rs 1,000 per share. This offer will open on 13th July and close on 14th July.

Maruti Suzuki

The country’s largest vehicle manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has introduced the CNG version of its compact SUV model Franks. Its starting price is Rs 8.41 lakh. MSI has launched the CNG version of the Franks in two trims. Its price has been kept at Rs 8.41 lakh in Sigma trim and Rs 9.27 lakh in Delta trim.

HCL Tech

Information technology company HCL Tech’s profit increased by 7 percent to Rs 3,534 crore in the June quarter of the current financial year. The profit of the company has increased due to increase in new orders. It was Rs 3,324 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. However, the company’s profit declined by 11 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis. The company had earned a profit of Rs 3,983 crore in the January-March quarter. Revenue was Rs 26,296 crore, which is 1.2 percent less on a quarterly basis.
