Stocks to Watch Today: There was a stormy rise in the Indian stock market on the first trading day of the week. At the same time, amid strong signals from the global market, the market is expected to remain bullish on Tuesday also. GIFT Nifty was at 21,968 at 7:30 am, up 100 points from its previous close. Good signals are also coming from American and Asian markets. The S&P 500 rose 0.76 percent to a record high last night. The Dow rose 0.59 percent and the Nasdaq Composite rose 1.12 percent. Barring Hong Kong shares, most Asian indices were also in gains this morning. Japan’s Nikkei, Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 and South Korea’s Kopsi rose up to 0.6 percent. The Hang Seng fell nearly 2 percent in the wake of the liquidation order for real estate giant Evergrande. In such a situation, the market will keep an eye on these shares.
Quarterly results of these companies will come: L&T, Dr Reddy’s, Bajaj Finserv, PB Fintech, Adani Total Gas, Cochin Shipyard, KEC International and KPIT Tech, among others. New Listing: Epack Durable will make its market debut today. The issue price has been fixed at Rs 230.
ITC: It reported 6.6 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth in consolidated net profit for the October-December quarter (Q3FY24) at Rs 5,335.23 crore from Rs 5,006.65 crore.
Bajaj Finance: Its profit rose 22 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 3,639 crore in Q3FY24 due to healthy growth in net interest income (NII) and fees and commissions. NII increased by 29 percent to Rs 7,655 crore.
vodafone idea: It reported a net loss of Rs 6,985 crore in Q3, down 12.5 per cent from Rs 7,990 crore last year. Average revenue per user increased to Rs 145 from Rs 142 and Rs 139 respectively in the last two quarters.
NTPC: Its consolidated net profit in the third quarter increased by 7.3 percent year-on-year to Rs 5,209 crore. Revenue fell 4 percent to Rs 42,820 crore as compared to Rs 44,602 crore last year.
marico: Its net profit in the third quarter increased by 16 percent on annual basis to Rs 386 crore. Its revenue fell by 1.9 percent to Rs 2,422 crore.
Havells India: The company will invest up to $20 million in its wholly owned subsidiary Havells International Inc. in Delaware. The funds will be used to take advantage of new growth opportunities in the US.
Aditya Birla Sun Life: AMC reported a 26 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 209.34 crore in the December quarter.
Piramal Enterprises: It reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 2,378 crore in the third quarter compared to a net profit of Rs 3,545.4 crore last year.
KEC International: It has won orders worth Rs 1,304 crore in various businesses.
Newgen Software: Its wholly owned subsidiary has won a seven-year contract worth Rs 97 crore for digital product development, operational support and related services to support digitalization in Singapore.
