New Delhi. Video-sharing platform YouTube on Wednesday said curbing misinformation is important for platforms and society as technology evolves and artificial intelligence (AI)-powered tools arrive. It also said that it will take swift action against content that is being used as a technical glitch with the intention of misleading users and causing harm to the real world.
YouTube India director Ishan John Chatterjee told reporters here that YouTube has better community guidelines, which determine what kind of content is allowed on the platform. When asked about tampering with the content available on YouTube with the advent of AI, he said, “As the technology evolves, content manipulation is a significant challenge not only for YouTube but for the whole society.”
Chatterjee said, “The policy we have is to curb misinformation and content, apart from various things like violence and graphic content.
