Rickshaw puller becomes CEO
Dilkhush Kumar, a resident of Bangaon in Bihar’s Saharsa district, once used to drive a pedal rickshaw on the streets of Delhi. Could not survive there, so returned to Patna and started selling vegetables on a handcart. The family was financially weak, so he had to leave his studies in the 12th standard itself. Father is a bus driver. That’s why the people around used to say that the driver’s son will become a driver. Struggling with helplessness and poverty, Dilkhush started looking for a job. Gave an interview for the job of a peon in a private school, but got rejected there too.
persevere in difficulties
Neither luck was supporting nor health. His health deteriorated while driving a rickshaw in Delhi. The family immediately gave the order to return home. He rested at home for a few days, but taunts from neighbors made his life difficult. He learned driving from his father and started driving a taxi. Seeing the condition of taxi service in Bihar, the idea of startup came to his mind.
Starting with a second hand Nano car
He got the startup idea in 2016 while driving a taxi. He took a loan of Rs 5 lakh and started his cab service with that money. Started AryaGo cab service. He had a second hand Nano car. He started his first cab service Aryago with the same. Cab aggregator service was a very new thing for a state like Bihar, so Dilkhush Kumar faced many difficulties, but he persevered. At one time a network of 360 taxis was formed with them. Slowly they went on spreading it.
Today the owner of a company worth crores
In May 2022, Dilkhush Kumar along with his cousin Siddharth launched Roadbase. Invested my life’s savings in this start-up. Dilkhush started Rodbez with the same theme as the way cab services like Ola, Uber work. Roadbase is a taxi service provider aggregator. It is the job of his company to provide cab service to the people in small towns of Bihar at an affordable cost. His taxi service business has now created a buzz in every village of Bihar. At present, Roadbase is providing outstation i.e. more than 50 km distance ride, but soon it will be started in intercity also. That is, you will be able to book roadways cabs easily like Ola-Uber in the villages and cities of Bihar. His target is to connect 25 thousand cabs with him.
