How to open SSY account
Currently there is no online way to open an account for Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. You can download the application form from the website of the bank or Indian Post. Then after filling that form, you can open an offline Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY) account by going to your nearest post office or bank. You can follow the steps given below to open an account:
Step-1: First of all go to your nearest bank or post office where you want to open SSY account.
Step-2: Fill the application form for SSY. Along with this, necessary documents will also have to be attached.
Step-3: You can pay the amount you want to open the account through cash, check or demand draft. In this account you can deposit Rs 250 to Rs 1.5 lakh per year.
Step-4: Your application and payment will be processed by the bank or post office.
Step-5: After processing your SSY account will be activated. You will also be given a passbook from the bank or post office.
