South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a meeting of industrialists with Sandeep Sagle (IAS), Industries Commissioner, Government of Gujarat, on Wednesday 22nd November 2023 at 4:30 pm at Samhati, Sarsana, Surat. In which Surat Collector Ayush Oak (IAS) and Joint Industries Commissioner Neel Shrimali and other officials and industrialists associated with textile, diamond and gems and jewelery industries were present.
Industries Commissioner Sandeep Sagle said that the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 will be organized. He requested all the industrialists to attend a seminar on ‘Future Ready 5F: Gujarat’s Textile Vision for a Developed India’ on November 23, 2023 at 9.30 am at Platinum Hall, Sarsana.
The industrialists present in the meeting put various questions before the Industries Commissioner. In which it was mainly presented for distribution of applications approved under the Textile Policy 2019 of Gujarat Government. A request was made to hold a meeting of the committee so that the claims of more than Rs 10 crore of industrialists approved by the State Level Empowerment Committee could be approved. A presentation was given to start PM Mitra Park as soon as possible.
Further, it was submitted that other schemes of Gujarat Government would benefit the textile units engaged in weaving, embroidery etc. It is noteworthy that these units get the benefit of Gujarat Government’s Textile Policy 019 only. Apart from this, a request was made to immediately announce the new textile scheme.
After listening to various presentations of the industrialists, Industries Commissioner Sandeep Sagle assured to resolve various issues of the industrialists in a short time.
Nikhil Madrasi, Honorary Minister of the Chamber of Commerce, delivered the welcome address and thanked everyone present at the meeting. Himanshu Bodawala, former president of the chamber, Ashish Gujarati, former president, Bharat Gandhi, president of FIASVI and former president of the chamber, Nanubhai Vanani, former minister of Gujarat, Brijesh Gondalia and Raman Magotia, presidents of South Gujarat Warp Knitters Association, Sunil Shah South Gujarat Textile Processors.
