To convey the confusion among traders regarding the new rules of MSME to the Finance Minister, a delegation of traders led by FOSTA appealed to the Finance Minister in Delhi. Confusion had increased in the country including Surat textile market regarding the new income tax of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). The resolution of this concern in the textile market is also in the hands of the one who implemented the income tax provision.
The difficulties arising from the provision of MSME are having a huge impact on the textile purchasing and selling system. The cloth market was bustling at this time. There is silence in the same market. A lot of impact is being seen in business. The textile market has been completely affected. To solve this problem, executive members including Surat’s FOSTA President Kailash Hakim met the Finance Minister.

FOSTA President Kailash Hakim gave detailed information to the Finance Minister that this new provision of MSME is in the interest of traders but at present the textile trade system of Surat is not ready for this rule. And also it requires some improvement. Kailash Hakim talked to the Finance Minister on the following issues. Requested to postpone this rule for 1 year. It was mentioned that all the components, big and small, should be included in the rules of MSME.
It was said that the time period given for making payment in MSMEs should be increased. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman listened to all the issues carefully and assured that Prime Minister Narendra Modi always makes policies in the interest of traders and after discussing in this context, assurance was given to make possible efforts in the interest of traders.
