Bangladesh does not make any kind of cloth yet it exports such a huge amount of cloth and apparel, but all kinds of clothes are made in Surat. Textiles in South Gujarat cover the entire value chain of man-made fabrics. Only the development of the apparel industry is lacking.
The purpose of turning the entrepreneurs of Surat towards the garment industry
Especially when India’s Union Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal has set a target of $100 million textile exports from the country, development of the apparel industry is very important to succeed in this direction, so the Chamber of Commerce and CMAI work together in this direction. are doing. Garment Conclave has been organized with the aim of promoting the Garment Industry, in which five experts have been invited from across the country.
He further said that efforts are being made by the Chamber of Commerce that by the end of the year 2025, there should be a huge boom in textile exports from India and Surat’s textile industry can contribute the most in this. Various programs related to garments will be organized by the Chamber in future also. So that the entrepreneurs of Surat can be diverted towards the garment industry.
