Surat South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized ‘Surat Start-up Summit-2023’ during 27th, 28th and 29th October, 2023 at Platinum Hall, Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Sarsana, Surat. In which various innovative products and services were showcased through the Start-up Summit. Around 16,800 people from different cities of the country visited the Summit during the three days of the Start-up Summit.
On the third day of the Start-up Summit, 6 sessions were organized on topics useful for business for entrepreneurs. In which Maninder Singh Bawa, Chief Technology Officer of India Accelerator, gave more information to the entrepreneurs on the topic ‘Using Blockchain to solve the problem of diamond industry’. After this, Room Company founder Uday Sodhi asked the entrepreneurs ‘What do investors want?’ Gave guidance on the topic. Nihansh Bhatt of Krafton Inc. gave insight into future export and investment opportunities in gaming.
The Start-up Summit featured panel discussions by experts on topics like how to approach investors, new trends in influencer marketing, brand-branding for start-ups. Rahul Narvekar, Founder, The India Network, enlightened entrepreneurs on various aspects of taking a business from start-up to scale.
Chamber Vice President Vijay Mewawala delivered the valedictory address at the closing ceremony of the summit. He said, ‘Good wishes were extended to the entrepreneurs through the Start-up Summit. He also announced to organize Start-up Summit-2024 in the month of October and announced to organize this summit on a large scale.
CA Mayank Desai, Chairman of the Start-up Committee, said, ‘Every entrepreneur who set up a stall in the Start-up Summit has got good investment. During this summit, a total of more than 800 investors from Surat have shown their readiness to invest. Along with this, the investors gave a guarantee to all the stall holders to invest a total of more than Rs 12 crore. Stall holders at the summit were extremely happy with the encouragement their start-ups received. The entrepreneurs have got new strength and new ideas from the summit. Due to which future entrepreneurs will enter the Indian and global market with more potential and new ideas in the field of start-ups.
On this occasion, Honorary Minister of Chamber of Commerce Nikhil Madrasi along with former Chamber President Himanshu Bodawala, Honorary Treasurer Kiran Thummar and Group Chairman Nirav Mandlewala, Bijal Jariwala, Sanjay Punjabi, Nilesh Gajera, Paresh Lathia etc. performed the relevant rituals. Punit Gajera, Amit Shah and the start-up committee members worked hard to organize the entire event successfully.
