A cricket tournament is being organized by Adani Foundation, Hazira for the last five years for the youth of the coastal area of Hazira. More than 100 teams from Olpad and Choryasi talukas participated in the fifth season this year. All the matches of the tournament were played at Babarik Cricket Ground, Vanswa and Motawada Cricket Ground. The final match was played between Bhai Bhai Bhayla XI, Olpad and Rinkesh XI Bhandut. Olpad’s brother-in-law’s Bhayla XI emerged victorious in the final match.
In the final match, Bhai-Bhai Bhayla scored 105 runs while batting first. In reply, Rinkesh XI could score only 101 runs and Bhai-Bhai Bhayla XI became champions by just four runs. The winning and runner-up teams were awarded trophies along with prize money. Man of the series and best batsman title went to Sachin Patel of Rikesh XI, best bowler Ketan Patel and man of the match Yashir Patel.
Priyesh Rathod, CSR Head, Adani Foundation expressed his gratitude to all and said that if more than 100 teams take advantage of this tournament next year too, we will be very happy to organize it.
