‘Niti Panchamrit-Chanakya Niti’ program was organized by The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry under ‘Niti Panchamrit’. In which Mohanbhai Patel, former Sheriff of Mumbai and President of Vishwa Gujarati Parishad, who studied Chanakya’s life in depth, told the entrepreneurs how Chanakya’s policies can be useful in the present times.

Chamber of Commerce President Ramesh Vaghasia delivered the welcome address. He said, ‘Chanakya has made special efforts to provide justice to the poor and the oppressed. No one knows when and what kind of challenges will arise in life. But to face such difficult challenges, only the policies suggested by Chanakya can bring man out of trouble.

The habits mentioned by Acharya Chanakya work as the key to success in human life. Since man’s biggest enemy is his ignorance, we should light the lamp of knowledge in life. Second habit: No matter what your income is, some part of it should be used for charity and good works. Read religious books also, so that your thoughts are pure. He said, ‘The most important thing is that one should always follow the path of honesty and should not cheat anyone.’

Mohan Patel, former sheriff of Mumbai and president of Vishwa Gujarati Parishad, said, ‘Our culture, traditions, skills are partly found in every person. Actions taken by copying others always land a person in trouble. Research should be done to take the business forward. Change in behavior is necessary with time in life. He gave detailed information about Chanakya’s policy through some examples from his life.

He further said, ‘Chanakya has said that religion is happiness. Your duty is your religion. No matter how many difficulties come in life, one should never give up one’s principles. Don’t compete with someone more powerful than you. He said that Chanakya is the father of economics.

Rupin Pachchigar, former president of the chamber, who conducted the entire program, said that business and industry develop only when there is morality in it. Although the definitions of policies have changed now, Chanakya’s policies are worth knowing. He gave information about some rules given by Chanakya. According to Chanakya, an intelligent person suffers from three factors. These include the foolish disciple, the evil woman, and six friends.

Former Chairman of Bombay Stock Exchange Bhagirath Merchant, Vice Chairman Vijay Mewawala, Chairperson of the Chamber’s Women Entrepreneur Cell Krutika Shah, Swami Ghanshyamdas and former Chairman of the Chamber Rajnikant Marfatia, Prem Sharda, CS Jariwala, Sharad Kapadia and Arvind Kapadia were present in this program. At the end of the program, Mohanbhai Patel gave satisfactory answers to the questions of the entrepreneurs, after which Mrinal Shukla, Group Chairman of the Chamber, thanked everyone and then concluded the program.
