South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under the chairmanship of President Ramesh Vaghasia, Honorary Treasurer Kiran Thummar and other members of the representative body of the Chamber of Commerce, Government of India, Union Government of Chemicals and Fertilizers and Health and Family Welfare on 8th August, 2023 in New Delhi Met Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. Initial information about the SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84 project was given before the Union Minister. The importance of this project to increase exports from India to further strengthen India’s economy was discussed in detail.
Chamber of Commerce President Ramesh Vaghasia said that efforts are being made to increase exports from Gujarat region including Surat under SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84 project. For this, Chamber of Commerce is going to create an online international platform, through which efforts are being made to connect 84000 entrepreneurs of Gujarat and 84000 Indian entrepreneurs doing business in different countries of the world.
In addition, 84 Chambers of Commerce of India and 84 Chambers of Commerce of the world have been brought on a single platform and interactive sessions with traders are being organized. Similarly, the Union Minister was informed that efforts are being made to guide the traders about the laws and regulations for doing business with their countries by linking Consul General of India in 84 countries and Consul General of 84 countries based in India .
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya listened very calmly to the SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84 project and asked various questions to the Chamber President to get detailed information about it. He assured of making every possible effort to ensure that the project gets full support from the Government of India.
Apart from this, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya assured full support in solving the problems of the trade-industry of his department in South Gujarat.
