A joint initiative of Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Surat Embroidery Association to organize ‘Surat International Textile & Machinery Expo – CITME 2023’ at Surat International Exhibition & Convention Center, Sarsana from 04/03/2023 to 06/03/2023 was done, which was completed today.

Chamber of Commerce President Himanshu Bodawala said that around 60 exhibitors participating in the exhibition received very good inquiries ranging from small machinery to high speed and sophisticated technology machinery. Most of the buyers inquired about new varieties of twin order, twin beads, mix machine and embroidery machinery in 4 to 8 orders. While some buyers got detailed information about 1500 rpm high speed embroidery machinery.

There were a lot of good inquiries about the advanced digital printing machines and fusing machines on display with the aim of turning digital printing machinery factories into digital mills. Machinery ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1 crore was displayed in the exhibition.

Businesses with older machinery are now looking to invest in newer technology, so exhibitors are expecting to sell 2,000 new machines over the next six months. An investment of over Rs 650 crore is likely to come in embroidery and digital printing machinery by Diwali. Due to which the development of garment industry in Surat will get more momentum.

As per the feedback received from the exhibitors, new technology is being upgraded every year in digital printing and embroidery machinery. Textile manufacturers are selling their products in the domestic market but now they are moving towards exporting the products to the global market. Therefore, genuine buyers from all over the country visited the exhibition.

A large number of buyers, traders and businessmen from Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Tiruppur, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Panipat, Jaipur, Bhiwandi and Malegaon besides Surat and Ahmedabad visited the exhibition and advanced technology textile machinery was displayed during all the three days Saw different types of. 6868 exhibitors on the first day, 10228 on the second day and 4716 on the last day, totaling 21812 exhibitors visited the exhibition.
