Ramesh Vaghasia, President, South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, met Gabriel Sinimbo, High Commissioner of the Republic of Namibia and Manuel Eduardo dos Santos e Silva Bravo, Ambassador of the Republic of Angola, in New Delhi on Thursday on SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84.

The Chamber President presented the Mission 84 project to the High Commissioner of Namibia and the Ambassador of Angola and had a detailed discussion with them about the importance of this project in further strengthening the economy of their countries including India. He said that to increase exports from India, the Chamber of Commerce has created an online international platform under the Mission 84 project, through which efforts are being made to connect 84,000 entrepreneurs from India and 84,000 traders doing business in different countries of the world. Similarly, meetings are being held to bring 84 Chambers of Commerce of India and Chambers of Commerce of 84 different countries of the world on this online international platform.

Under this project, efforts are being made to connect the Consuls General, High Commissioners and Ambassadors of 84 countries working in India as well as various ambassadors representing India in 84 countries of the world on this portal. Meetings with Consuls General, High Commissioners and Ambassadors of various countries operating in India to provide guidance to businessmen not only in South Gujarat including Surat but in Gujarat and across India about business opportunities in various countries of the world and their laws and regulations And businessmen are coming, as part of which a meeting was held with the High Commissioner of Namibia and the Ambassador of Angola in New Delhi and they were requested to join Mission 84.

The High Commissioner of Namibia, Gabriel Sinimbo and the Ambassador of the Republic of Angola, Manuel Eduardo dos Santos e Silva Bravo, were very impressed by the Chamber of Commerce’s Mission 84 project and expressed their desire to connect the different Chambers of Commerce of their countries. With this project. Mission 84 assured cooperation in presenting the project to the traders from their countries and including them on the online international portal of the project.

Furthermore, the High Commissioner of Namibia and the Ambassador of Angola invited a trade delegation of industrialists and businessmen from Surat to their country for a business meeting under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce. When the Chamber President invited him to hold a business meeting in Surat with a delegation of businessmen from his country and visit the Chamber of Commerce and various industries, he gladly accepted.

Namibian High Commissioner Gabriel Sinimbo said, entrepreneurs and businessmen from Surat can do business with their countrymen in the fields of agriculture, manufacturing, renewable energy, transport and tourism in Namibia. Since his government provides good infrastructure for investment in these sectors, he requested the Chamber President to welcome the industrialists and businessmen of Surat to his country.

The Chamber President said that when the first edition of ‘Explore Africa’ has started under Mission 84, in the near future the High Commissioner of Namibia and the Ambassador of Angola have been invited for a business meeting in Surat, so he has planned for the same in January.
