Surat: The Chamber’s ‘7th National HR Conclave’ was inaugurated by Naval Chief Admiral R. Hari Kumar did it. Loktej Surat, Business News

South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the ‘7th National HR Conclave’ on Tuesday, November 07, 2023 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at Platinum Hall, Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Sarsana, Surat. The theme of which was ‘The Future of Human Resources: A Business Perspective’. The ‘7th National HR Conclave’ was inaugurated by Admiral R.K., Chief of Naval Staff, Indian Navy. Hari Kumar did it. On this occasion, Director of Ahmedabad Indian Institute of Management Prof. Bharat Bhaskar was present as a special guest.

Speaking at the inauguration of the conclave, Chamber Vice President Vijay Mewawala said, ‘The main objective of the Chamber’s 7th National HR Conclave is to benefit more and more entrepreneurs. The term HR has a different association with the industry. Both are interconnected with each other. Acquiring human resources and managing them properly is an important task. ‘HR is the group of people who make up the workforce of an organization, business sector, industry or economy.’

Naval Chief Admiral Shri R. Hari Kumar said, ‘It is certain that there will be a change in the near future due to artificial intelligence. But it is also worth noting that artificial intelligence cannot show creativity like human resources. To make India the third largest economy in the world, waterways will play a more important role than roads and railways in the export of raw materials. Gujarat has done remarkable work in the field of exports by sea route for centuries.

Director of Ahmedabad Indian Institute of Management, Prof. Bharat Bhaskar said in his speech, ‘At present, due to technology, rapid changes are being seen in the workforce. In this modern era of technology, there is a need to change with time. At present, work is being done through robots in many companies. Simple tasks like shipping that a person can do are being done by robots. But humans, human resources that function with strategy, creativity and fillers. Pro. Bharat Bhaskar addressed the entrepreneurs through the dialogue of Shri Krishna and Arjuna from Mahabharata.

During this conclave, Saurabh Pathak, Vice President, People Operations, Maruti Suzuki India, gave a presentation on organization management useful for professionals. Adani Group’s Group CHRO Vikram Tandon praised clean Surat on his first visit to Surat.

Dr. Nirav Mandir, CHCO of Sri Ramakrishna Exports, presented the outline of the program. The entire program was coordinated by Chirag Desai, co-chairman of the HR and Training Committee of the Chamber of Commerce. Honorary Minister of the Chamber Nikhil Madrasi, Senior Corporate Trainer and Business Growth Strategist Mrinal Shukla, Founder and MD of Goldie Solar Ishwar Dholakia, Group Chairman of the Chamber, members, HR professionals, entrepreneurs along with media friends were present on the occasion. At the end of the program, former President of Chamber of Commerce Himanshu Bodawala delivered the vote of thanks.

After the opening ceremony, the first panel discussion was held from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm. Which was conducted by senior corporate trainer and business growth strategist Mrinal Shukla. Dr. Sudeep Jaiswal, Director, Sach Electro Mech, Ishwar Dholakia, Founder and MD, Goldie Solar and CA Nirav Jogani, Director, RSM-Lemon Consultech Group presented their views in the panel.

Then another panel discussion was held during the period from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Which was conducted by Himanshu Bhatt, President of National HRD Network of South Gujarat. Dr. Rajeev Shah, Senior Manager-HR, Reliance Industries (Hazira Group) and Santosh Rai, Joint GM-HR, Larsen & Turbo and Dr. Parag Sanghani, Provost, P P Savani University, guided the industrialists and professionals on the panel.
