Surat: Traffic awareness program organized in textile market.  Loktej Surat, Business News

On Sunday, a traffic awareness program was organized at Kamela Darwaza on Ring Road under the joint aegis of Surat District Textile Marketing Transport Labor Union, Surat City Tempo Owner Driver Association, Mile Tempo Delivery Contractor Association and Auto Rickshaw Union. The main objective of this program was to streamline the traffic system in the textile market and reduce traffic accidents.

Police Inspector MB Jhala of Surat City Traffic Police Circle 4 was present as the chief guide in the program. He addressed the tempo driver and auto driver workers of the textile market about traffic awareness and motivated and encouraged them to follow the traffic rules.

PI Jhala said that to smoothly operate the traffic system in the textile market area, cooperation of tempo and auto drivers, unions and associations is needed. He said that the traffic police is continuously working to improve the traffic system and traffic awareness programs will be organized from time to time.

On this occasion, Union President Umashankar Mishra and Tempo Association President Shravan Singh Thakur also urged the tempo and auto driver workers present to follow all traffic rules and carry all the necessary documents while driving.

Officials of labor unions and tempo and auto rickshaw unions including Umashankar Mishra, Shravana Singh Thakur, Saroj Tiwari, Ayub Shaikh, Chintamani Pandey, Sameer Bhai, Lallu Shukla, Moin Bhai, Tilakram Pandey, Yusuf Khan, Jayanti Prajapati, Vijay Kumar Gupta and others participated in the program. A large number of tempo and auto driver workers were present.
