South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84. A session on ‘Exploring export opportunities in the gems and jewelery industry’ was organized during the Sparkle exhibition at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Stadium, Athwalines, Surat. In which Amit Mulani, founder of Bharat Udaan Mission, as an expert speaker, motivated the entrepreneurs to enter the gems and jewelery industry, develop jewelery business and export it.
Chamber of Commerce Vice President Vijay Mewawala said that efforts are being made by the Chamber of Commerce under SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84 to increase the contribution of entrepreneurs from entire Gujarat region including Surat in the target of US $ 1 trillion for exports by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Are. Under which a session was organized with the aim of giving guidance to the entrepreneurs for exporting in the field of gems and jewelery and giving information to the exporting entrepreneurs so that they can increase their exports.
Amit Mulani gave detailed information about the various export possibilities in the gems and jewelery sector. He also explained various steps to do export business in this sector even if you are not manufacturing. It was told how to do business in gems and jewelery sector and how to expand it easily. He briefed about the export opportunities in India’s manufacturing sector in the jewelery industry and how one can take it up a notch by starting a jewelery manufacturing sector.
He further added that Indian jewelers have mastered the design of gold, therefore there are many opportunities for jewelery exports to all countries. Documentation is now much easier to export. India has signed Free Trade Agreements with various countries, which can be leveraged for jewelery exports. For this, entrepreneurs have to develop some understanding. He gave detailed information to the industrialists and entrepreneurs on important subjects for export.
The then former President of the Chamber Himanshu Bodawala thanked everyone present in the session. Former President of the Chamber Rohit Mehta presented the outline of the programme. Rakesh Trivedi, member of SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84, moderated the entire session and also introduced the speakers. Chamber Honorary Treasurer Kiran Thummar and SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84 member Paresh Bhatt were present in the session. In this session, the speakers satisfactorily answered the various questions of the entrepreneurs and then the session was concluded.
