T+0 settlement will start in the share market next week

Share Market: The Indian stock market closed with a rise on the last trading day of this week. In the last five trading days, the Sensex rose 0.26 percent or 186.15 points. Whereas, Nifty closed with a gain of 0.39 percent i.e. 84.80 points. At the same time, there is Holi holiday in the domestic market on Monday. Now the market will open on Tuesday. Along with this, the market will again remain closed on Friday due to Good Friday. This means that there will be trading in the domestic market only for three days next week. However, the next week is very important for investors. Instant settlement from domestic market from this week (T+0 Settlement) is being started. Bombay Stock Exchange has announced this by issuing a notice.

What is T+0 Settlement?

After the implementation of T+0 settlement, investors are going to get great relief. With this, settlement of purchase and sale will be done in a single day. In the first phase of T+0 settlement, if you buy and sell shares till 1.30 pm on the business day, then settlement will be done by 4.30 pm. Whereas, in the second phase, immediate trade-by-trade settlement facility will be provided for all transactions till 3.30 pm. Let us tell you that SEBI had released the framework for the beta version of T+0 settlement on March 21. However, this settlement system is being started as an alternative. This means that T+1 settlement will still continue.

Review will be done every 3 months

After the launch of the beta version of T+0 settlement, SEBI will talk to different parties. Besides, feedback will also be taken from the users regarding this. Additionally, a board will also continuously monitor the beta version. The first review regarding this will take place in three months. After this, the second review will take place in the sixth month. Further decisions will be taken based on the reports of both the reviews.
